Spray Foam Insulation
Durable Wood Roof Cedar shingle retrofit

In recent years, building codes and regulations began evolving to include specific efficiency standards that new and existing buildings are required to meet. These new regulations are intended to conserve our nation's energy resources. For years, building efficiency seemed to be left as an afterthought in construction planning. This lack of concern for energy efficient building practices has left us with an inefficient housing stock in the United States.

With our partners combined years of professional experience in the construction industry, this type of energy conservation work was a logical step as the industry practices continue to evolve. Energy Conservation Specialists of Connecticut LLC. was established in 2010 to help meet this growing demand for energy efficient buildings.

On the horizon:

It is likely that new, stringent energy codes and regulations will be set in place in Connecticut by the end of 2012. To meet these requirements, HVAC installers will need greater effort as well as the utilization of new techniques such as Aeroseal to achieve a Certificate of Occupancy. Where the building envelope is concerned, it is likely that property owners will see the implementation a nationwide efficiency rating system for existing home stock. ECS was formed to prepare for these changes and to help clients meet the conservation efforts demanded by the next generation of housing.
